Hello everyone I have a 93 240sx with 230kms on it auto and a annoying rough idle. the engine and car will shake while idling untill it hits exactly 1500 rpm and will smooth out and drive normally. I have replaced all plugs and distrbutor cap and rotor and it made it a little smoother but didnt fix the problem. I noticed that when I unplugged the wire from the second spark plug it would not kill the engine as removing any of the other wires would. Any help would be appreciated and just want to get this fixed as soon as possible.

Cheers

If you've replaced all the ignition stuff, have you checked fuel injectors? Or changed the ECU?

more than likely you have an injector bad at #2,pull the plug on injector #2 and if don't change anything thats your problem.

You should be able to pull off any one spark plug wire and your engine should run although it would miss on that cylinder

ok, what would be the easiest way about fixing this if it is a bad injector?

Go pop a couple of them off in a junkyard (pocket them if you don't believe in karma) swap them out with the bad one until you find a good one

Well ive read people describing that sometimes just cleaning them can fix the problem, is there a way to clean them without just putting the cleaner in the tank and driving it as the car is not currently insured and therefore cannot be driven on the streets.

Only thing I can think of is to remove them and send them off for cleaning/flowtesting or try to clean it yourself. Either way if you have to remove it, might as well just get a used one and replace it first to see if that's the problem.
