well i got my car running now but with the MAF plugged in it hardly run but it will with it unplugged. the problem is i know my EGR isn't on it and there are some vacuum leaks but when i get it to about 2500RPM it won't go any higher like it is hitting a rev lititer or something. i don'tt know what it could be.also the idle isnt completely right but i am more concerned about it not going higher into the RPMs

The car will not go over 2500RPM without the MAF pluged in and if there a vac leaks with the MAF pluged in then the car will run like ****..

The MAF measures airflow into the engine. All airflow into the engine is suppose to go through this to properly mix the fuel with the air coming in. If you have air entering somewhere else the MAF doesnt see it in turn causing the car to run extreamly lean.
