93 240SX INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TURNS OFF WHEN HEAD LIGHTS ON......????

93 240SX BASE MODLE FB , RECENTLY REINSTALLED DASHBOARD AND CONVERTED TO LED CLUSTER LIGHTS. START THE CAR INSTRUMENT LIGHTS ARE ON, TURN HEADLIGHTS ON, gauge LIGHTS TURN IMMEDIATLY OFF, THE CLOCK SEEMS TO BE REVERSED ALSO, GETS BRIGHTER WHEN HEADLIGHTS ARE ON (AS IF DRIVING DURRING THE DAY)

I HAVE MY SUSPICIONS THAT ITS THE SWITCH, JUST SEEMS KINDA BASSACKWARDS.....

I APPRECIATE ANY HELP I REALLY NEED TO GET THIS CAR INSPECTED ASAP

to explain a little better

did some testing tonight-headlight swith unplugged, turned the key, dashlights are still on....what grounds the cluster lights?

-no lights on any of the interior switches when headlight switch is on and not on when the gauge lights are on when ingnition is on. why are they not working in conjunction with each other?

-dropped collum for the 3rd time to remove cluster....even jummped power into the illumination circuit.....nothing still turns off when headlights are on

-tested fuse panel for power ...checked out-now i need to know where to start testing for ground....

any suggestions?

well maybe its a more simple problem, such as reverse polarity in the led lights?? is anyone familar to what problems can occur with LEDs, i really dont feel like taking it apart for the fourth time....

You ever figure this out? Mine does the same thing, going to try switching out the headlight switch with another. Checked my tcu didn't see any burnt marks.
