I am currently trying to remove and replace the fuel pressure regulator in my car. The problem is the location of the damn critter! Its sandwiched between the firewall and fuel injector rail. The part has 2 screws that i will have to take out so I can put in the new one. Problem is I only have like 4 inches of space to fit a screwdriver in and remove the screws. And the screws are really in there so I will have to torque the heck out of them just so that they will budge and there is no way i can get enough leverage with that tiny amount of space.

Can someone please give me some advice? This is so frustrating !

thanks fellas,

samuo

vice grips and a replacement screw. I've switched over to using stainless hex key screws there.

so your saying to just use a phillips bit w/sum vice grips to get it out? im just worried about stripping the little screws when im trying to take off the old one. is it hard?
