hey guys. i'm new on this forum and i recently bought a great 93' 240sx(auto) and i already talked to the guy that sold it to me about this odometer problem i have. he's an old guy who is a mechanic and restores these 240's from all over the u.s. but, he said to just keep driving it and it'll kick in eventually but i just wanted to get some input form other people. the car had 95,600 sumtin on it when i got it then a little over a week ago it jumped to 95,999 and my trip meter jumped to 9,999. now it doesn't move at all. i tried resetting the trip meter and now it's just stuck on 0. any suggestions?, o and also i used the search button but didn't find any real answers as to what to do. you can also e-mail me at. o also my speedo and tach work fine so i don't think it can be my speedo.. but yea.. thanks![email protected].^_^

Drop the steering column, pull the cluster, check all of the connections in the back, if they are fine replace the motor inside of it.

Was going to say check connections, or I got a used one. Usually they go for 25-35. Glad it's working now
