I was driving in the rain and my wipers stopped working. I replaced the wiper fuse while the car was running,(I know I shouldn't have) and now my brake and battery lights are one. I have read post after post and people think it is the alternator but I am sure it isn't. Has anyone found a definete answer to this somewhat common problem?????

If you have read the other post plenty of other people have had the same problem and the alternator was fine. I am sure changing my fuse didn't damage my alternator. Is there another fuse that might cause the ebrake and battery lights to go on

check the wires on the back of the alternator. How old is the alternator also. A fuse to make the lights go on? Not from what I can recall. Unless you've got a short in the harness somewhere.

I've had that light problem twice now. Once it was due to loose wires on the alternator and the other time it was because the alternator was on its way out.

I found out the reason my wipers aren't working is there is something wrong with the fuse box. If I tweak the fuse a little the wipers work. I am sure this has something to do with my problem. I am driving the car with no problems but I want to get rid of these stupid lights.
