93 240sx codes 14 and 34... serious miss and running issues???

So i got my ka24de started... ecu is giving me codes 14 and 34... which i believe to be VSS and knock sensor. Im thinking the knock sensor code is because it misses so bad when its running. Seems to not be getting enough fuel for the amount of air thats going to it. revs up to 4000 RPM at quarter throttle but more throttle than that and it revs about 2500 RPM and runs like a toilet. It also wont start unless i prime the intake with some fuel. idles really rough at about 500-800 rpm after it warms up a bit, otherwise it quits at idle. Maybe TPS? but wouldnt it be giving me a TPS code?

so i ran the engine again today, while it was idling i unplugged the maf and the tps... when i unplugged the tps, there was absolutely no change in the way it ran.. however when i unplugged the maf... it did the typical, rev up to 2500 rpm thing. Bad tps? or could the maf still be malfunctioning?
