93 240SX BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON ALL THE TIME

My breake lights stay on all the time i dont know what else it could be got a new switch and didnt help didnt totaly install jus pluged in and still on

make sure your ebrake is completely down also i think it might stay on if your low on brake fluid(not sure) check your fluid level though it couldnt hurt

i belive what you are thinking of is the dash light but thats okay i figured out the problem the plastic clips that hit the switch to shut them of broke apart and i never noticed the peace but jus found some blots and stuck a nut on the back side worked and i am glad that stupid problem is taken car of thanks for you reply though deffenitly good reply for a dash light staying on perfect infact

ahhh i understand what your saying now your brake lightS are staying on my bad, yea that little piece braking is one of the big causes of this problem.Kudos on fixing it

im having the same problem now. where is that clip located?

it's on the brake pedal theres should be a hole where the plastic tab should go and sometimes it gets brittle and breaks off. grab two pennies and epoxy them together and push on the pedal and you'll see a switch place it over the switch.
