Hi. I have a transmission from an 89 or 90 240 that I am installing in my 93' (which I have heard is not a problem). I have the lower wiring harness for the transmission and I am wondering about how to hook up all the plugs. Some specific questions would be: do I connect the inhibitor switch plug from the MT harness to the one on the car? Would this work, or do I need to splice all the wires into the main harness? I've read some instructions on here about splicing the wires in but they are really confusing.

ok so as far as the inhibitor plug its the one with just two wires on it what i did i took the plug snipped it down about 3 to 4 inches and then looped the two together. reason i did this is that if your in a suspect neighaborhood or worried about someone stealing it makes it difficult for someone to steal it. So once you get em looped to each other all u gotta do is plug it in to drive or take it out and it wont start. Cheap theft deterrent
