Just so all of you know, it is not an urban legend to leave your auto transmission fluid alone. I had my fluid drained and filled and within two months had what I thought was transmission failure. Slippage, whining, no go. Towed to transmission specialist and he found a gummy substance throughout. Filter plugged, solenoids gummed up, magnet looked clean. $630 later all seems OK. Several flushes, new solenoid pack ($$$), back on the road. DO NOT DRAIN AND FILL! I would guess the transmission was chemically happy with the old fluid and once it got the new stuff it threw it all out of whack???
Does anyone else have trouble with the interior light (by the rearview mirror) flickering on when going over somewhat serious bumps? I suspect the body is flexing and forcing the door switches to rattle enough to signal the light to flicker on. Any one have any clever fixes or spacers for this?
Thanx in advance!!!
