93 240 missfire help

i picked up a 93 240 the other week with 170k put a new valve cover gasket plugs wires cap rotor tstat and waterpump in it. I was driving it to work and took it to about 6k went to shift once in gear car sounded like a subie. Sounds like a crazy hard miss and pops flames. HELP! also car has no cat and 3" exhaust

your timing may be to retarded and is not burning fuel properly...or you have an RF issue with signal to fire your coil at higher rpms..or..you may have a crank angle sensor going inside the dizzy...just 3 options to test..hope this helps.

ok so i had it running and went down the line and pulled plugs when i pull #3 nothing changes in idle. I ran a compression test and have 175psi so i check spark and its getting spark im lost now

Check your injectors. You may have a dirty or stopped up injector. You can listen for them clicking with a screwdriver, or you can pull the rail off a crank the engine over and watch the spray pattern.

this is a valid teast..but if you dont find anything wrong with the injectors...then pull the dizzy and get a testor out and test that crank angle sensor..there is a way to test it in every service manual out there..its a common issue.
