For the past few weeks, my clutch pedal has been sticking and then eventually popping back up when I release it. I was able to just keep pumping it and get enough pressure to drive the car. Today, when I pushed the clutch in, it went to the floor and stayed there and I ended up driving home w/o the clutch. The fluid level in the master is way above the maximum line and the fluid is dark brown. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Andy

Little update. I had my wife push the pedal while i looked at the slave. The piston on the slave didn't budge AT ALL. Also, I can push the piston back into the slave by hand and it will slowly come back out, but I can't pull it out. Thanks for any help.

Well, the slave cylinder just pissed all over my hand, so I'm gonna assume it's the problem. I've seen the autozone and advance carry some that are about 15 bucks, but from the pictures you can't see a piston on them. Can anyone verify that they do have the piston? Thanks.

Andy
