i am replacing the KA on my 93 240 and wuz wondering would there be any problems if i replaced it with the KA for a newer model 240?

I purchased a used 98 kA24De to replace my 92 KA engine that has a blown head gasket and who knows what else. I was told that I need to swap the intake manifolds so the ECU will recognize the sensors. Other than that everything should match up perfectly.
