I noticed today very strong fuel smell from the engine bay - the car was at Discount Stores for wheel balancing - hmmmm

Guys, where to start? Is there something the lift could have done to dislodge the fuel lines?

I had changed the fuel hose on the fuel rail few months back, so it can not be that. The smell seems to be coming form the front (engine) - scared to drive it now.

How to triage this one? Any direction?

Thanks

Who says they did it correctly? Used the correct hoses? or another spot you didn't change is leaking?

What's a little dripping fuel among friends they almost never catch on fire at least from gasoline leaks. Visual inspection required.

There are several rubber fuel hoses under there... to and from the fuel rail (near filter)... behind/under pleum... and then one that crosses between the left and right banks on the front. It's under the ornament cover near the filler neck. I'd look there since that's where you're describing. Other possible sources would be the carbon canister (vapor line broken or disconnected.

Turned out to the be the fuel hose from the fuel filter to the fule rail - piece of cake to replace.

When I started the engine this morning - saw a solid stream oozing out from the hose and streaming on to the radiator shroud.

30 minutes and I am running fine.

Thanks for the help.
