I need to get the front crankshaft seal replaced on my wife's 1992 Sentra XE (GA16DE). I tried to do it myself but I couldn't get the pulley off. The place I usually take it is telling me that on some of these cars the oil pump has to be removed in order to replace this seal?

I'm pretty sure that once the crank pulley is off the seal is right behind it. Can some GA16DE expert confirm this for me?

yes it is just behind the pulley
