92 s13 hud not working at all

ok so i am new here but i have been do some research about my hud problem. it does not work at all so now i want to swap it out but i do not know what gauge cluster i should get and out of what 240. some people said that it is this speed sensor some said hook up a volt meter. what to do

Its all the same just find a cluster from a 91-94 240 and swap them. its a direct swap.

is just your HUD unit burnt out or is it the digital speedo too?

if its the speedo, check this article for help.

if not, try and find a new HUD unit with the wire/plug that goes into the back of your cluster. those are all the same regardless of year. you don't need to swap the entire cluster, but if you decide to, you can keep your tachometer by swapping it to the new cluster.

I recommend testing any cluster or speedo/HUD display you might buy before giving up your money because a lot of them are in no better condition than yours.

so i went to the jy and found a gauge cluster from a 91 and also wiring harness and it was a straight plug and play the only thing that i had to change was my mileage. thanks again for advice.

did you ever push the on off button? the previous owner of my car said mine didn't work when i test drove it. I seen the on off in the cluster pushed it and it was on. been working for seven years. Just a last check before you rip stuff apart.
