Done-fixed, or done-checked the fuse already and still have the problem?

If the latter......I had the same problem and couldn't see the break in the fuse except with a magnifying glass. Best to use a voltmeter on the installed fuse rather than trust the naked eye. Good luck.

Another cause of the tail lights and dash lights going out is the BRAKE SENSORS.

Make sure both (on right side wheels only) are in good working condition or bypassed. Then check & replace the fuses you need. Usually related to the ILL and TAIL LAMPS fuses.

the abs sensors you mean?how to bypass sensors?

I checked all fuses and they are OK no break.I checked all terminals on the rear but get no power.

weather conditions before this happened "lot of rain" it was Ok in the AM but in the PM no more lights.

From his post I think he means more of the sensors for the brake pads, (The ones that tell you the brake pads need replacing soon).

I am not sure anyone who has posted here really understands your problem....you need to figure out how to communicate clearly the symptoms you are experiencing in order to solve this issue

the problem is I have no nightlights(two amber in front sides, two red in rear sides, no tail lights, no dash or shifter lights)the following test were doneall bulbs are test OK fuses in the car are OKfuses in the engine bay OKheadlights are working OKhazard lights are OKback up lights are OKsignal lights are OKbrake lights are OK

this happened in a rainy day so could there be a short?where is the relay located that controls the nighlights?I was playing with the headlight switch while I was pressing the brake and the lights came on for some reason for a second.no electrical work done lately ex:alarm or stereo.

I still have the problemscould this be more clear so you could understand?can anyone help?

A little clearer { what you call nightlights, most refer to as parking lights or clearance lights}

I would look at the light switch stalk itself to be sure switch is not worn out. I assume you have checked all fuses, relays, and fusable links???

Considering you said they came on momentarily when you switched them on leads me to suspect the switch itself first.

OK when you turn on just the parking lights, (turning the light switch to the first position) do you here any clicking noise like a relay?

What about the stop lamp switch is that in working condition?

The stop lamp switch is on top of the brake pedal, If you remove that black cover that protects the switches from your shoes or dirt you will see what i mean.

Try the Cruise control, get the car to above 30 MPH and press the Cruise control button see if it activates, Then press the brake pedal to disable the Cruise control.

Does the above work?

Do the rear stop lamps work?

I said they came on momentaraly when I pressed on the brake pedal. The brake lights turn on when I press the brake pedal.

Where is (are) the fusable links?where is (are) the relays?

will try cruise control and stalk it self it should send a signal on the first click, I dont hear a relay sound while I do this.

I didn't say anything nor do i know much about Fusible Links.

But have no idea if there is a relay for the parking lights, It might just be the Headlamp Relay.

But as I said if you hear just a clicking noise even for a split second then the relay works, I don't know how much better to describe it to short of being their in person or talking you though it on the phone.

But if it turns out to be the relay I have one for you.

Check your brake lamp sockets in the trunk. Shorts there between the two lead tips on the bulbs can cause all sorts of issues. Try unplugging each socket assembly one at a time and see if that cures your problem.

When in PARK, with headlights on or off, press the brakes and see if you hear a click near the shifter. Like Ppastos said if you hear it that means the relay works... I am not sure about this but from experience I guess hes right.

Do you get the "Brake Pads Worn" warning on the gauge cluster? If so that could mean the brake pads/sensors need to be replaced.

What I did was.... I plugged the brake sensors to the wheel assembly. I cut the sensor off where its supposed to connect to the brake pads and connected the wires together to create a looping signal.

^^Known issue - if someone can better describe it please do--- I think there was a picture around here somewhere too.

This was my problem, nothing else fixed it - I hope it can be of some help to you.

Kiven422 - he's talking about a different issue. The brake pad sensors won't have an impact on interior lights, park lights, or tail lights.

I always thought "nightlights" were those little lamps or glowing panels that were mounted on wall sockets.
