Sorry to bug people with such a lame question, but what would be a good asking price for a 92 Q45a with 155K miles, chain guides done by myself last winter, runs great, no tears in the seats or anything like that, active susp works good but has flat accumulators, I've replaced the under plenum hoses and 1 fuel injector. It needs new rack bushings but I'd probably replace those before selling. May also get texasoil accumulators if it'd bump the price up enough to justify it. Motor runs great. Oil stays clear and just starts to get a tint at 3000 miles when it's time for new oil change. It doesn't rattle, knock, anything. Trans is smooth and strong. Fuel pump is also new as of a year ago. Sunroof works great and I just tightened the clutch in it last week. Also have spare sunroof motor. I have my 95 bmw 540i and just don't drive the Q much. I'd like to sell it to someone who will appreciate the active suspension and who will be able to take care of it. There is a small vibration from 35 to 45 mph, might be center bearing for driveshaft... not sure yet but it hasn't got worse and it just hasn't been noticeable enough for me to check it out. Oh yeah, replaced spark plugs with new factory iridium plugs last winter too. She's pretty much ready to roll. Paint is dark metalic green and it has a few scatches and such, but nothing big. I'm buying a '83 280zx 2+2 for parts soon and will need a good 240z, 260z, or 280z body soon. Gonna pull my camaro 350 which is somewhere north of 420hp, freshen it, and build a bad little Z car. So I'll still be Nissan at least.

oh yeah, it came from San Antonio. Has not a speck of rust. The flip up lids that cover the mirrors in the sun visors are gone. The brake pedal feels a bit spongy, will have to bleed the brakes and see what that does. Also, I have a 91 Q parts car that would go with it. Anybody know of a rust free Z car that has bad motor or trans but otherwise good? I'm looking to do something similar to the Q45 V8 blue 240Z that's been linked on here not long ago. Except I'll be doing a single or twin turbo 350.

it'd just be included with the 92 Q. It has hail damage and the motor has a serious issue, I think timing chains jumped. Has brand spankin new Tokico blues on it though and a lot of good small parts. You need a specific part?

Hard to imagine there would be any rust free 240Z's left. I had one between 1972 and 1978 and even though the climate here is fairly dry, it started to show some major rust.

sounds good wes. I love the Q but must admit that the 540i wins me over just a little more. The active is great but I don't corner much with it and the BMW doors sound so much better when you shut them. Oh yeah, there's no varnish build up under the oil fill cap, and it was remarkably clean inside when I did the chain guides. I don't know too well yet, but considering the things I've done to it and the condition of the car while it still needs a few odds and ends... I would think around $5000 would be about right. I paid $3900 for it and then did the fuel pump, chain guides, injector, hoses, and spark plugs. It also has about 8000 miles since the chain guide job, so it's been tested pretty well. And Jesda's is doing well also. (let's not talk about him having to have his crankshaft bolt retightened)
