Today, I think the left front amp started to die on my '92 Q. It started hissing like crazy even at no volume and the balance/fader makes no change. It still works just with poor sound quality at both ends of the spectrum...no highs or lows. It had done that when I first got her several years ago and I thought I fixed it by cleaning and mushing the harness plug terminals to make a better contact.
Anyway, I know I've read in this forum a long time ago that Bose will rebuild/repair the front speaker/amps for FREE. Is this right or was I dreaming again. Or might anyone know the amp problems? I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron and could easily replace a capacitor or diode myself...
Forgot to mention...the dealer has already fixed the rears for free under the recall...
thanks for any info...Robert
