A stone cracked my left headlight lens. I looked in the manual and have not found how to do this. However, it looks like there is one bolt to remove. Is it really that easy? How is the light adjusted? I would think that there must be another bolt or two.

ThanksKen K

you cant just change the lens, youll have to swap the entire headlight with a used one.

Ouch... I am confused. On infinitipartsusa.com there is a listing for the following:

1. headlamp assembly2. housing3. lens and housing

How do these differ from one another?

I have seen the headlamp assembly on ebay for $65 or so, but now I am unclear as to mainly what the difference is between hte housing and lens, and the headlamp assembly.

And, basically, can anyone tell me how to do the swap? What has to be removed in order to remove the assembly? I would be most grateful.

ThanksKen K

the headlamp= headlight BULB

The rest is self explanitory, however you can only get the assembly (lens+housing)..

Just plan on getting a used assy off ebay...

To replace it there 2 bolts on the inside of the headlight (near the high beams except on the housing).... Then theres 2 nuts behind the cornering light.

Wes, I don't want too thick about this but here is what the parts are on infinitipartsusa.com which makes me unclear about what is the difference between the headlamp assembly and the lens and housing w/molding. New, there is a $150 difference, so I am unclear what is included in a headlamp assembly that is not included in the lens and housing. I will call Joe tomorrow to find out. The bottom line is that a used entire assembly looks very good at $65 + shipping...!!

1. headlamp assembly $444.192. housing $48.023. lens and housing w/molding $278.90 4. lens and housing w/o molding $262.85

ThanksKen K

ok this parts diagram should clarify any questions....

the 5 digit part code reflects whats on the picture. ALSO note that in the parts book they list a seperate part number for the lens, but its not available.

Thanks for the diagram. I have been through my "FSM" that came with the car and there is nothing in the EL section except how to align the headlights and nothing in the BF section that I could find about how the headlights install, so I am most appreciative.

Only if you want someone else's scratches and scarred lens. Un protected lens surface is a wear item. Might try polishing it out.

Of course, a new one will make you surviving old one look pretty lame.

Amazing so few aremor their front lens when it is so inexpensive compared to replacement.
