Someone please help, I have a 92 Q45 109k miles that I can no longer drive because it constantly blows the brake light fuse. I have replaced the bulbs but they still blow. I have tail & hazard lights but no brake lights. I don't know if this is related but I now have to push the over-ride button to get the car out of park. Does anyone have any idea where to look next to solve the problem? Help with any suggestions.

have you checked the inside of those bulb sockets for carbon deposits that are causing a short?

It certainly could be related.

The shifter is released by a switch that is mounted to and activated by your brake pedal arm. Normally, the shifter is locked in "Park". When you press the brake pedal, the button on the switch (at the brake pedal) is pressed, releasing the lock on the shifter - - you can usually hear an audible "click" as the shifter is unlocked.

So, if this switch (or it's wiring) is bad, it is possible that it is shorting and blowing the fuse.

Check the switch. If you stick your head under the dash, near the floor boards, you should be able to find the switch mounted on a bracket behind the brake pedal arm. If you press the brake pedal with your hand, you'll see the switch button being pushed.

Give this a try.

Which came first... the blown fuse or the shift lock button? In my failures, the fuse would blow, rendering the entire circuit dead. The shift lock mechanism works off of the brake signal... so I would still be looking at sockets first. My brake switch failed open... I think the only other way it could fiail would be closed... meaning the brake lights would just stay on. They're only switching one side of the circuit so I don't think it could cause a short (unlike the bulbs).
