In looking at the 90Q now on EBAY, the interior shot photo shows the original (and very Daimler-Benz style) seat adjustment switch. I believe I read on here at one time that DB had taken issue with Nissan for this, and forced them to go to the infuriating adjustment buttons that my 92Q is burdened with! QUESTION: If one can find one of the original switches, can it be easily fitted replacing the stupid buttons?
The mighty Qship has been waxed, Armour-alled, and covered, awaiting my return to the southwest in the springtime! Its last trip was a week ago, when it had its long legs exercised on a 1500 mile trip over to San Antonio and back. Speed limits on I-10 are mostly 80 mph, so I set it at 87 mph and enjoyed the drive. As always, the Q never fails to impress on these type runs! Got about 21 mpg, with limited a/c use and on mostly 91 octane. For a car worth so very little in sale value, it confirms the original Nissan design concept and execution!
I will put my (actually the wife's) 92 M 30 convertible back into service upon returning to South Carolina for the winter months. Another amazing concept Nissan had when they brought the home market Leopard into our market! The build quality is excellent, although not rivalling that of the 92 Q! The Nissan V-6 drivetrain is nearly indestructable, with 15 years' driving REPAIRS at less than $200! The Qship has had less than a $100 in repairs, to date (idle speed adjustment and oil pressure sending switch), in over 135K miles.
I am fortunate enough to be agle to afford nearly anything on the road, but take great pleasure in keeping these older vehicles in operation!
Thanks for any thoughts on the seat switch!
