Looks like I will be replacing an injector or two.

When I called Scottsdale Infiniti, the parts fellow, Justin, did not know the difference bewteen the fuel injectors other than to say that they have different spray patterns. (I have 6 with green dots, one Bosch by my neglect, and one that is, as yet, unknown.) Scottsdale does not have any green dots. Justin says that most people order the no dots.

Does it matter significantly? Can they be mixed and matched? Why 6-7 different patterns of spray?

ThanksKen K

I have no problem ordering the no dot, but there must be some reason for the different spray patterns. Any idea why so many patterns?

ThanksKen

Because on the 90-93 with the twin oval ports im pretty sure they had a split spray. However it really doesnt makethat much difference...

Best not to mix dot colors or could run rough. Or you could send them to Deatchwerks and have them match them up for you. Wish Nissan would have spent as much time on making them compatible with ethanol as they spent testing different spray patterns.

but back in 1990-1993 this was not an issue! They probably thought "why would anyone put ethanol in gasoline?"
