92 pop up lights help

i have a 92 240 with the pop ups...im gonna eventually do the s13 front end conver. but in the mean time im stuck with thede lights...just happened today and i have no idea y...when i turn on my lights sometimes only one will open....sometimes it will only half way and the other will open all the way or stay closed...sometimes none open. or sometimes they open like all slow and stop half way and unevenly. i tried turning the kinobs for like an hour playing with them trying to fix them but im pretty stumped cause nothing is working. can anyone help me out?

Check the motor or make sure they aren't shorting out.

could be the headlight switch. its a common problem with s13's... nistech would tell you too, if he was still here
