'92 NIssan NX 2000

I was out with my friend looking for lower control arms for his integra, and on the way there we came across a little NX for sale. It only has 80k on it, but does need a little work. The interior is worn and there is an exhaust leak in the stock downpipe somewhere, but the owner let us take it for a spin. It pulls extremely hard in 3rd gear, and seems to handle well for a stock car. It has the T-Top roof and felt like the clutch grabbed well and ran good as well. THe asking price is 3750, and I know that is steep, but the owner is willing to work with it. I bluebooked it out to 2405, so I defitely wouldn't pay anymore than that considering it has alot of little rattles and such that need to be addressed, but the car is very streetable. And now on to my questions. Being an owner of a 1st gen altima for my entire driving career, I'm not sure on this car as I've never looked into them much. I figured you guys could help:

1. How does this handle? Good for Auto-X, or no?

2. What sort of Mods are availible. I will be looking to stay N/A. Is there a header out, Cold Air intake, New HC pistons, etc..?

3. Reliability. I need to get this car thru the next 4 years of college. With 80k on the clock, do you think it'll hold up to auto-xing it and also taking it to the 1/4 mi. track on occasion?

4. Are there any text book problems I should look out for on the car, ex. Timing chain rattle on the ka24's?

5. How much should I realistically be willing to pay? I have about 5k to spend, but I don't neccesarily wanna spend alot, I wanna have money left over for mods and such..

Doesn't anyone have an knowledge on the NX2000? Doesn't matter tho, I bought an '89 s13 hatch. RWD is much funner than FWD anyday

The NX is basically the same as the B-13 se-r. They make kick *** auto-x cars.

Yeah, any B13 SE-R parts should work fine on the NX2000 with the possible exception of a header. The front crossmember is shaped a little differently.
