I got a 92 240sx 5speed, and it had a blown up ka24de. I went searching and got a really good deal on a ka24de but out of a 95 model 240sx automatic. It came with the engine harness. I was wondering if there was anything i need, or need to know before i jump into this. OR am i lucky enough for it to just be a simply drop in.

It's pretty straightforward. I'm not well-versed on all the particulars of this swap, so click on the blinking red "Search" button in the top left corner of the page for detailed info. I do know that there are minor differences between the S13 KA and the S14 KA engines, so watch for those.

Good luck and welcome to NICO.

swap out the intake manifold and the exhaust manifold off of the old motor and use the harness in the car and it should be an easy drop in.s14's don't have the swirl valve on the intake and the 96 and up have a bunch of evap crap on the manifold. the harness is different on the 2 motors, s14 has a smj body plug and ecu plug where as the s13's have a ecu plug and various body plugs in the engine compartment.

Use only the S14 head and block...retain your intake and exhaust manifolds, wiring, ECU, trans, etc...

And since it's an auto engine, you'll need to remove the auto pilot bushing, and install a 5-speed pilot bushing (flywheel end of the crank).
