92 Infiniti M30 stalls out while driving

My car has just startered cutting out while driving. The panel light do come on. When I put the car in park and restart, it starts right up. As I start driving again engine cuts out. No spikes in heat or anything. Everything look normal I just took to mechanic and he ran engine diag and nothing showed. He checked the ground wires and secured and said was fixed,but it is not. I drove home ok, but now it is worse than ever. Does anyone have simular prob and know what is going on? Help please.

I had similar problems on my Toyota pick up truck and my Infiniti G20. Turned out I got a tankful of bad gas in each case with water in it. I took the fuel filter off, poured the water out of it, reinstalled it, and the vehicle would run fine until some more water got trapped in it, blocking the fuel. You may have to repeat this several times until you get all the water out of the tank, if that was your problem.

If ur car doesnt have a distibuter thats a definite crank position sensor if you do have a distributer check the points in the cap hope this helps ( my maxima used to do the same thing no codes nothing and it was CPS).

it turned out to be a loose electrical wire behind the manifold. It was a $45.00 fix. Running fine now. Does not show up on the engine diag. Had to do a hunt and find to find out what was wrong.
