Yeah that was my orignal plan buying a stock and then swap it but only problem is[actually a big problem] I dont know anything bout working on cars. Anyway I did test drive the car and it was good, really good well compared to my Civic I hate my car engine looked clean and no leaks suspension was bad but the guy called told me he just replaced it with Tokico blues and Tein springs so it should be good. Im going to test it tomorrow. Long story short i just want an S13 and I'm doing all my reasearch to learn bout the car and the engine. Through research found that average clip is about 2.5k, the car about 1.5k[working car], engine installation someone told me should run bout 1.5k - 2k. To sum it up its just about right. Please correct me if i'm wrong and educate me.

well, i dont know about over there, but here in cali, average charge for labor for a swap is around $500, like i said. front end clips run for about $2000, labor = $500, swap = $2500

Where are you getting clips for 2k????? At least not a low mileage nice one....

Id say the car is worth it if he has proof of mileage on motor. I personally have my 180sx gauge cluster for proof as well as alot of paper work that was in the glove box of my front clip . My clip only had 47k kilometers when I got it. So I would say depending on mileage it may be worth it

yeah i know loli guess tomei has the best sr pics? i wonder if that's even legal? either way, theyre really cool guys. if you ask anyone about them that went to them, you'll hear nothing but good reviews. they want nothing but customer satisfaction. i got all my stuff from them, and a week after my swap, i had a bad turbo line that was leaking coolant. i took it back and tossed in a new turbo line and turbo gasket for free.

well... you could purchase the clip, then sell all the other stuff you dont need.clip = $2500

sell:180sx brakes ~ $100 (decent upgrade from stock)rhd stuff (i.e. dash, cluster n other jdm junk) ~ $400and if your lucky, you might get a clip that's been modified that might come with fmic, bov or whatever..

total after selling junk to your local jdm fan boy: $2,000

I'd say if you think the car felt good, then go for it, I have more than the cost of that entire car into my swap and it's not even in the car yet. Yes, I am replacing a lot of stuff, but if you know little about cars, that is a damn reasonable starting point.

to me if everything is good about the car the price does not sound bad but one would have to check the car out that's a key. And wherever in the world disk as finding somebody that'll do a swap for $500 I would be very concerned I've had the correct quite a few cheap swaps where nothing worked right right down to the point the car would not even run. Just about everybody I've ever met that installs the swaps and is experienced, and depending on what bells and whistles you put with it, the labor part normally goes for about $1200-$2000. And then there's always the things like wiring, hoses broken, pieces damaged parts and all this other stuff that tends to run the price up, but usually by the time somebody gets a swapped completed running and down the road you're going good if you can keep it under $4000 that is possible. I've also been involved in a lot of racing and bald other people's toys and I've gotten a whole lot a good buys over the years and I've also been ripped off once or twice its just all a matter of how it goes. Hell on the swaps I know of a person that bought a motor from a reputable place and it turned out to be no good and they tried their damned as not to honored the startup warranty so be warned when you start plan with performance stuff there's a lot of crooks out there, but fortunately there's an even larger number of good people to deal with so take your pick
