92 FastBack Start problem.. HELP!

So I have a 1992 Fastback 240sx. It runs and is in great condition! only thing is that sometimes it wont start or even turn over at all.. but then if i press the button to pop up the headlights it usually starts the very next try if not the try after? Could it just be coincidence? I don't drive it often because i have no muffler, taillight or plates.. but it seems to always start after i pop the headlights up? any suggestions?

Sounds more like a coincidence. I doubt any of the wiring for the popup lights effect the starting the car. (Unless the wiring harness was messed with).

I would check your starter, and battery. If jump starting the car the first try doesn't work then its another issue. If it does start I would say the battery or starter is bad.
