Ok, I've searched, and have been confused. I just picked up a 92 (or 93) exhaust cam from the junkyard for hecka cheap. Now the questions:

Do I need to machine the cams? Or can I leave them as they are and install them?

and

How do I install this myself? I read that you have to line the sprocket with the timing chain (mark it, if that eases any confusion).

also

I bought the cam with the s13 sprocket attatched to it (we didn't have a big enough socket to remove it). Can I just leave it on and it will work the the s14 ka? Or do I remove it.

Any clear installation help would be good if someone can. I'm nub that this.

What other cam are you using this with???

And I'm guessing you want to use it as an intake cam....you need another to match it, unless you already have a set of S13 cams in your S14 motor...???

Let us know, then we can help.

It's the known mod of putting a s13 exhaust cam (91 <) and replace it wiht the S14 exhaust cam.

Most people put s13 exhaust on s14 intake side.

I'm well aware, and I have done many different cam setups:

Original S14 (232/232)S13 (240/248)Nissan Motorsports (248/248)JWT (256/256)

Some people do 248/232 for turbo applications...is that what you're shooting for?

Or replacing ONLY your S14 exhaust cam with an S13 exhaust cam?

That'll give you a 232/248 setup...not so good. For N/A or turbo...

You need either the full S13 set, or another S13 exhaust cam that you can drop in the intalke spot, to get a 248/248 setup...for good N/A topend with a little loss down low.

Let us know what you're shooting for... - Brian
