I just bought a 92 convertible and the door panels are broke on it. From what i read no other models will fit it. am i right? Can you get them from nissan? and is it worth it? I read something about a coupe door panel conversion. Is this worth it. Also the car doesnt have rear speaker covers. Will the coupe ones fit it? Just need to get this thing looking good. Thanks

Tony

Your best bet is to do the door panel conversion. You can get panels from a coupe or a hatch. You can even use manual window panels if you're willing to do a bit of cutting and epoxy a cover over the manual crank hole (manual panels are easier and cheaper to acquire).

good question on the rear speaker covers. As a last resort, you could make them by cutting a frame out of thin plywood, putting mesh or speaker fabric over the frame, and then stapling to the insert.

The weather finally broke and I picked up an angle grinder, so I'll be doing the conversion over Easter weekend.

They are in pretty good shape. The passenger side is perfect and the drivers side has a slight crack in it right above where the seat belt goes in at the bottom. the crack is about an inch long. you really cant tell. i took the inserts out of them as they were starting to come off. but thats nothing a staple gun cant take care of.

Man, this thread was over a year old...

Hey, I always thought Loki had a different username in the past... now I see what the old one was.

Holy Necropost, Batman! I think it's safe to say that door panel is no longer available. Welcome to NICO though.
