92 b13 Se-R 4 spd manual???

hey guys im thinking of possibly purchasing a SE-R and the guy is telling me its a 4spd manual that was swapped in from previous owner? i thought b13 se-r's were 5spd manual? can anyone verify this and would it be a big performance issue with the way it drove? considering its got 4 gears when its supposed to have 5

You would be going backwards in technology if there really is a 4sp swapped in place of the 5. Would have been a ton of modifications as well to get that to work.
