Hey everyone within the last month my 300 had developed a choppy idle. I first changed my fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs so far and nothing got rid of the choppy idle. I went to go move my car yesterday and now my car turns over but won't start. I got a new set of coil packs coming as well as a TPS I'm going to swap out.

The choppy idle is almost like it is cammed up at idle that it basically rocks the car. When I accelerate Its a complete lack of power and almost sounds like it back fires when I clutch in to shift.

I am completely new for working on a zx and need all the help I can get.

Unplug the MAF start the car and see if it will hold an idle. The MAF is located under the nose panel.

Do you have the new style (black) or old style (grey) PTU? That is normally located on the left upper timing cover.

Also, did you check for codes? http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/nissan ... ostic.html

Do you still have the old style injectors?

And for kicks, check for vacuum leaks.

It is the black ptu and the old style injectors.

When I had done the ecu test, it shows code 55 for nothing wrong :(

Did you check the MAF? Also, check the coolant temp sensors connection and clean it. Follow that guide that Exia posted. It will help you.

My maf is f*** so I got a new one on the way, I just did a boost leak test and seems I have at least 4 of them. I have to take my bumper off for my intercoolers. I heard air rushing from in there

Glad you've figured it out. Good luck fixing those leaks! :)
