92 300zx n/a at transmission problems. Help!

I got a 92 300zx from a guy with 177000mi on it.the transmission is acting strange. It is automatic. If I put the lever on D it odes not move but if the lever is on 2 or 1 it will move but only on first gear.I ran the transmission diagnostics (the A/t light flashes). No problems with the electricals. Any ideas what the problem could be? thanx

transmission is toast or the harness is unplugged on the front either pass or driver side behind headlight on shock tower. There are two or three plugs one brown I think. If you need a trans, I can ship u a jdm trans with torque converter with warranty for cheap. Email me at [email protected]
