with what all i saw, i doidnt see any, with the stuff i did see, it was a kids car and was dropped cause the engine started knocking and instead of fixing it they just wanted to sell it, so .... i get to tear into it and maybe someday actually start it...

i hate the depression..

I would bring it to a shop, have them fire it up and check the timing, replace the timing belt, and check the valve timing.

It could also be your knock sensor not working properly. This happened in my girlfriends car and created a knocking. I would also maybe change spark plugs? I'm not an expert but I'm going by what I know

I feel your pain. I'm almost finished with mine hopefully it'll pass inspection in about a month. But when I picked it up it was also the result of some kid who ran out of money for his tinkering. There was tape...and spray paint... parts were ripped out of it like it was being ripped off.

But that's in the past lol

i'm not really getting the last post, can you clarify. the vader2 kit btw was a body kit that came for all cars back in the very early 2000s no before that actually and was on alot of ugly cars. Im so anti-it because I love my 240 and the way the rear is wide off the hatch windows, the beautiful body lines that run through the car, and the the minor details that set this car from the others. Adding such an extreme kit takes it away from what it is and brings it to an outdated mainstream where cars that personally never looked good to begin with craved a faster look...i do honestly say i considered it for my mom's dodge stratus a very long time ago lol those pupils on your pic could invertly be causing that depression you mentioned....suicide tuesday they call it (and i don't mean doors guys)

Wow, that's quite a handful there. I would do body, engine, and interior seperate. I know from experience that doing too much at once will just end up freezing everything?

Also, those fenders and quarter panels, are they fiber glass? Because one little stone on a cold day can crack and ruin those, that's what happened to mine. One is all perfect and the other one has like three cracks in it.

Well, this should be the gayest build in nico history. Have fun! I'm sorry you didn't get to make it to the fast and furious movie shoot.

i agree, i think you would be better off working on one thing at a time. particularly the performance of the car first. plus, ts cool as hell having a busted azz looking car like that smoke the sh1t outa some riced out honda. especially when the driver has a chick in his car and he's trying to look cool. IMO

i know i want to turbo with a T3 as for cmpression, I dont want to go overboard i want power but not overkill, this is gonna ba a daily driver for me...

so any advised would be great....

like i said with the engine, cylinder 4 is knocking when ran. I dont know the extent of the damge yet, but i know i have to replace the piston rod and crank, might as well do em all since im gonna be in there already right???

the only rods i can find at a descent price are the crowers, the pistons im seeing like 3 choices, and crower does have some top end items, valves, springs, and cams, and in looking there i see 2 different options stage 2 nd stage 3, i know stage 3 would take chaning the bottom end alot so i thought just getting the stage 2 to get some better intake and exhaust. thoughts???
this guy is just too damn funny.IDEA!! lest just sell him a bunch of useless crap if you got a beat up open diff, tell him its a lsd off a skyline. he obviously doesnt know whats what.

Agreed. My 240 bodies stay oem unless it serves a purpose. And trying to keep downforce, with my mostly stock ka, while driving to school doesnt count.

You should have bought a running 240sx and just fug'd it up and then given it to a member here.

We are trying to help you get you car running and trying to see if you car is as bad as it sounds and then you go and post a visual composite list of what it would take to make a 240sx another POS 15yr old NFS wetdream.

You don't care I quit on you.

aoooooo WOW this dude high compression turbo motor ????? that must be that new S*** people arent tellin me about

t 3 thats like a 12 year olds term for a turbo be a little more precise like a garrett 3071r or a 35 r

have you thought about how much a turbo motor costs and your bottom end alone will be 1500 with the parts that you said

the head is the most expensive part a pnp head with valve springs cams new valves hg head studs is gonna cost you 2000

1500 for a turbo kit

500 for a tune

and misc. stuff it will cost about 5000 for a nice turbo motor set up and thats cheap

reevaluate your thoughts on this build man

you could keep your stock stuff with a 1500 cx racing turbo kit and blow up your motor in a week or 2

depends on what you wanna do its your money???

You need to SLOW DOWN!! Focus on one thing at a time, if you have knock them replace your internals! Its simple as that, dont go start talkin about body kits and hoods when you cant even decide on pistons or a turbo yet, take one step at a time.
