This might be a really dumb question, just picked up a 92 240sx SE, as far as i know this car does have factory amps.

The original owner installed an aftermarket headunit, and he also said he installed some new 6 1/2 speakers in the front with some ebay brackets.

I am wondering if i have to worry about by-passing the front factory amp. (i am by passing the rear one as we speak while installing some new 4x6's). From all my searching online it seems like the front factory amp is "one piece" with the factory speakers, so you cant remove the factory speakers without removing the amp too, Or am i wrong??? Is the front factory amp mounted in another location??? I just dont feel like taking off the door panels just to find out the factory amp is already removed when the 6 1/2's were installed / or its not behind the door!

Please let me know, any input will help,

thanks in advance

It is an assembly with the speakers. You don't need to worry about it.
