92 240sx problem installing fuel injector

My 92 240sx was missing on #3. Mechanic said bad injector. With some difficulty pulled out old injector. When tried to install new injector, I couldn't get it to go in. I tried to oil the O-ring but that didn't do any good. It is like where the O-ring hits the seat it stops. Even with turning/wigglng and pushing at the same time. How do I get it to go in?
