In the past month I noticed a strange noise when the car upshifts from (Stick in Drive) 1st to 2nd. It sounds like a BOV (very high pitched Pssssshh). Seems louder on the passenger side and can only be heard with the windows down. Almost inaudible. I don't believe it has anything to do with the transmission (it has been checked). I'm thinking air or exhaust is escaping somewhere. Car runs like a champ but I just want to be extra careful.

Any suggestions on test I should run or where I should look?

can you duplicate the noise in park/neutral?
