92’ 240sx gas issue (searched)

Fellow NICO Members,

I’ve been having a couple issues when filling up the gas tank of my 240 and I hope someone could help me. I searched but it seems like a different issue then the once I found.

1. Every time that I fill it to FULL the gas starts to leak around my right rear tire. 2. When making a left turn and if the tank is over half of tank full I smell gas.

Check the o-ring and the top where your fuel pump assembly is bolted down.

i had the same problem....checked all around the fuel tank and found out that the o-ring for the fuel pump was all torn.... couldnt find an autoparts store with the o-ring instock so i just used some quicksteel and sealed it right up! Problem fixed!

Thanks I'll check that, the only thing is that it happends only when I turn to the left.

that is on the right side, so when you turn left all of the fuel in the tank would slosh over to the right side and if thats the problem, leak out.
