1992 240sx automatic transmission

I recently cleaned the iacv and installed a new tps sensor. I adjusted the tps using instructions from the tutorials section which seemed geared towards a 5 speed install. It seems now my shift points are slightly out of whack. I set it @ .514 volts when I tightened the bolts down.

I can't seem to get an answer from anywhere except a brief mention in a post I read. (don't remember where)

Here is what I thought up when the gears in my head started turning while reading the FSM.

With the car being an automatic, do I need to adjust the tps so the soft idle switch is activated when I tighten the bolts down?

Ok, so I did a test for the fun of it.

I set the tps to the extreme lowest position. This is where I got a connection reading at the smallest throttle open position.

Now the car shifts extremely hard at low speeds. The reason I think is that the travel to the wide open throttle switch is less making the car shift in response to thinking I have the pedal on the floor.

Sound reasonable? How the hell do I set this thing?

So again here I am. I think I got it.

FSM mentioned that it is supposed to read .2 to .6 @ the AT computer pins. I adjusted to the bottom end of the spectrum @ .451 volts just for the hell of it.

Seems to run and drive like it did before. I just drove a 5 minute trip so I don't know yet but I'll keep posted.
