Water pump went and my car overheated. I let it sit for for awile and started the car it to check were the temp was at. I did this 3 times , then the car would not fire up on the fourth try, it was just turning over. I installed a new water pump and battery. I checked the fuel, spark, spark plugs and fuses. There is no coolant mixing with the oil, no smoke or any leaks around the engine. The car keeps on turning over.

Maybe it's flooded? Were the plugs wet?

ok, i went and bought some new spark plugs, not change. Is it possible that the spark timing is off? I did take out the distributor unit to get a better grip on the bolt to lossen up the belt for the water pump.
