Hope I can be of some assistance to the ones who had questions about the Q45 speakers. I first contacted Bose through email which turned out to be a little more convenient. Then I got an email back saying they could rebuild my speakers/amps at $75 a pop. I then decided to get cheap and I told them about the recall on my car (I have a 90 but told them 91- hope they're not reading lol). They said the recall was on the rear speakers from the 91 Q45's. They then said if the dealership suggests I replace the rears then they would do it free of charge and only charge me for the fronts. ----->

The in service date is 11/90meaning it was a 91 year model. They did say that itfalls under the recall for that year which is why theywere offering to do the recall but were going tocharge me for uninstallation and reinstallation. I'mgoing to do that part myself. I will send all 4speakers in as long as the recall on the rears isgranted.
