Im having problems with heat in my Q.I got behind the radio and inspected things. It seems the pin is still intact but when I change temp. on the control it wont cycle the white plastic arm. the rod over to the left going towards the top of the dash,is this what controls the heater door???Im trying to manually open the door to see if Ive got heater core problems or if its the door motor?? maybe Im not checking things right here? Im not big on fixing something thats not broke. If my climate controls malfunctioned, would that cause a no heat issue???

doesn't the q do all these tests when you start it up.. old is nothing compared to how complex the computer system in these things are... right

No I think you are thinking of the ABS and TCS systems.

Could be the plastic that connects the door to the motor that is broken that is know to happen to the 1994+ but I suppose it could happen to any Q45 that sits or the owner hasn't used the A/C or heater system in a while.

So does the rod running to the left of the motor control the door?Or is that for another part of the vent system??
