I finely got the Z I Won off Ebay in March. I will post pictures soon. LOVE THE CAR!
I want to replace the factory exhaust because the mufflers have a few holes in them. The seller installed Nismo 615cc/740cc injectors, Z1 ECU upgrade and a Z1 High flow intake. I am keeping the car stock and will use it as my daily driver. I am looking for a factory look with the quad round tips. I am looking for a tiny bit louder sound from stock that will give me the best performance where I can still have a conversation in the car and not attract to much attention. I was looking at the Labree system but it is somewhat over my price range at $895 from Z1. Any suggestions in the $500-$600 range?
THANKS

well considering what you paid for the car and the fact you want to keep it as stock as possible... i would suggest nothing but the best like hks, greddy or even z1 or stillen at the lower end of the "good exhausts". labree is great too, i know you gotta be broke after buying the car but dont let the price stop you now, if you got to wait and save it up. keep her clean!

Seems like you got a really clean low millage Z32. I would deffinatley not go cheap on the exhaust. Specialty Z makes a nice dual round tip exhaust that I have and highly recommend.

+1 if your serious about modding it just do it right with one of the fine products SZ makes. Seems crazy to me that the previous owner says the injectors were upgraded... My question is why?? If nothing else is upgraded there is no need for more fuel. My guess is the PO was just bull s***.

Not my cup of tea, but I say go with the Stillen. It's the closest to stock looking and one of the quietest aftermarket exhausts available. However, definitely keep the stock exhaust for resale value - on such low miles it could actually DEPRECIATE the value if you change out too many stock parts.

A used Borla will be relatively quiet, fit your price range and look stock.

I actually was able to repair the mufflers with some exhaust wrap. The owner did replace the injectors with the Nismo, I have the invoice from Z1, he said something about upgrading from the early style. Also he had the plenum powdercoated wrinkle black which looks great. I am just going to leave it stock for now and then upgrade the exhaust later.
This is my 1st Z Car and also first Turbo I ever had. I noticed the boost gauge now sits at -12 at idle and before with the large holes it was around -14. I have no knowledge of turbos and I assume this is normal because the car has more back pressure now without the large holes, It was very loud before my repairs. Is this normal for the boost at idle? Maybe I should start a new thread.
THANKS SO MUCH
Hear are a few pics of the car. Will post better ones when I get a better camera and nicer background
