How hard will it be to put a '91 auto transmission into an '89 S13 w/auto transmission? Thanks for the help.

I bolted in a 89 MT into a 91 so I don't see why not. You'll just have to change the sensors from your 89 into the 91 I reckon. It shouldn't be too hard but not easy either. The transmission's gonna feel like a ton of bricks when you're under there, so remember to use a jack to help you along. Also remember how you got the transmission out (physically off the car and on the ground), it'll help you alot in the long run.

Other than wiring it up it's a direct swap.

Ive heard that the bell housings might need to be switched, what about the ECU. Just to let u all know these are both automatic trannys with OD. Thanks again.

I'm pretty sure the transmission's will be the same. If the bellhousings on the mt for the 89 and 91 matched, i'm pretty sure the bell housings are the same for the 89 and 91 AT. The ecu shouldn't be a problem, the only time I've heard of the ecu being a problem was with the at to mt swap, but since you're going at to at, it shouldn't be a problem.
