Ok, I took the IAC valve out and cleaned it up to solve a rough running problem, but while I had it out, like a dummy, I took the idle screw out.Now I have no way of knowing how far it needs to be screwed in to get this car running again. Please help...?

I believe you need to adjust it to where your idle is about 750 rpm+/- when warm

just put the screw in and start the car, keep adjusting it till the idle sounds good then check your rpms and see if there around 700 then go back and adjust it slightly either way and fine tune it to 700.

Should the car start with this screw in any position at all?Right now. it won't start, so I thought the screw needed tp be in a certain position to get her fired up.

From what I've read, the tps needs to be unplugged while setting idle to 650rpm then the reconnection of tps should give me 50 more rpm but I need to have her running first

i know the tps needs to be unplugged while timing your car i actually dont know if this applies to messing with the IACV screw. The car should start with it out, my friend had the same problem his screw came out but the car still ran very bad.If the car wont start with the screw in, try adjusting the screw to different positions and see if it helps your car start. If this doesnt work then something else is wrong.
