Hello, I wanna swap a 91 front bumper with my pignose, I searched all over but no one posted if you do in fact need the extra fenders on the 91 to complete the 90. Do they bolt on easy and how long does it take to swap them out? Does anyone have any pics or know any sites?

The bumper is a direct bolt-on. Next time search first.

I did, but people were talking about the fenders on the side and I couldn't figure out if you need them or not

My friend did this swap on his 89. You need the just the bumper. It looks better if you also buy the fender things(?) that go between the wheels and the bumper. They make for a smoother appearence. Good luck.

The 89-94 have the same fender. It will look smooth with the fenders he has.

You have to remover the wheel well cover to see some of the bolts holding on the bumper. make sure u disconnect the front indicators.

It will not look smooth. Have you ever looked closely at a 91-94 bumper? There are 2 small plastic fender flush pieces that clip into the fender and align flush with the bumper. 89-90 fenders do not have this.

So yeah according to swift (which I trust because he's gonna sell me some jdm tyte silvia mirrors, right swift?) he'll have to a) get the flush pieces, or b) get the 91-94 fenders. Have a nice day.

L337 I remember you asking about body kits a while back. Why don't you just keep the bumper you have and save up for a new one? And Zero I'm just leaving for dinner so I'll get you the pics when I get back later tonite!

for some reason i love the way the pignose looks from the front so, no swapping here im just getting the car painted black, from the burgundy color, with the stock body parts, only if it had a bigger air dam.

Type X is a trim level. Kouki is the body style. Pignose style cars came first and in Japan are referred to as Zenki.

No Type X started in the Chuki model 180's between 1994-1996 when the blacktop SR was first offered. Early model chuki's between 1991-1994 were designated as Type I, II, or III level trim. Kouki models got the new aero package you are talking about from 1996-1998, also got the blacktop motor, and trim level consisted of type g, s, r, x. Jspec.com has a nice faq on the Kouki aero and what's involved.

If you want it to fit flush then you must get the fenders with the pieces or put the fender pieces on your current fenders.

Like i said before, my friend did the same swap and you need to get the front fender pieces. They look almost rectangular in shape. They go between the bumper and the wheels. If you dont get them, the 91+ bumper will not be flush with the fender.

Junkyard would prob. be your cheapest and quickest way to get them. Might check courtesy or another dealer.

Yeah, most Nissan dealers will have them, i know my local one does. A junkyard might have them as well.
