91 Stanza with starter problems

I have a 91 Stanza and been havin some really weird starter problems. First I had intermittent starter problems. Then one morning I tried to start it and it woud'nt start so I got out of the car and went to open the hood and and I heard the starter still motoring so I quickly took the neg lead off battery. I then took my car into the shop and tthey tested the starter several times and it worked intermittently and they put on a new starter. I drove the car for 2 days and now the car won't start at all. Please help dont have any more money to take it to a mechanic.

Did you check the power to the starter? Make sure that its secure and functioning properly. Will the mechanic fix the car if its is a defective part?bud
