91 Slicktop with JDM gauge Cluster?

First off I am newbie to use guys forum. I however not a newbie to Nissans/ Datsun's. I have a 68 1600 and my first car was a 510. I have built a lot of 240z motors. Okay nuff with the intro. I have got to ask a question. I am working on my 91 Z32 n/a m/t slick top. I have a problem with the speedometer not working. The factory gauges have been attacked by redneckus americanus. To say the least they for the most part working but I do not have a speedometer. The first thing I need to do is find another factory gauge setup to replace the one with the broken tabs and broken mounting tabs. I started looking on flea bay and found and ordered a set of factory gauges only to find they were different. When I went back to flea bay I found what was listed as a JDM set of gauges that looked like what was in the car currently (electrical connections are the same)"Friends and neighbors that is a conundrum". All this said were the slick tops supposed to be for JDM market only? On the speedometer I am also going to replace the VSS also. posting.php?mode=post&f=315#
