Okay, after inquiring why my S13 is so slow (16.9-17.0) and my S14 is so fast (15.7-15.9) w/ less mods. I've concluded that my S13 in messed up.

I know one of the things it does is it surges when accelerating. It pulls, then stops pulling, then pulls again. It sucks. It also occationaly stalls at low RPMs. It has rear passenger 1/4 pannel damage which I guess might have effected the fuel pump. How would I go about fixing the problem? What should I check?

If it IS the fuel pump, could I just add a walbro in-line pump and not remove the tank?

What would be the cause of the surging? Any ideas?

Thanks..

David.

i did answer the other question too, but i might as well go through some other stuff as well. See if your plug gap is still within spec (about .040). And if they are cool, next go to the wire connection and then the ignition coil. My friend was having similar issues with his and he had a real weak bizarre flashing spark. I also did his distributor rotor cause when i pulled the cover off, the tip was shredded. If all else fails i would say yeah, prolly injector problems or fuel pump. But i never heard of a pump doing that.
